Ministerial Experience

Local Pastor, Bengaluru Lutheran Church, Bengaluru ( 2018 – 2019)

  • As part of my Practical Missions, on a need basis, I spend time counseling and sharing the gospel with those individuals and families who come to the mission house in need of help and guidance.

  • Translated ‘The Small Catechism’ and was published by Lutheran Heritage Foundation in 2021.

  • Every week, I invested time by training the Church members (which comprise mostly college students and working youths) in the Word of God, encouraging them in their walk with Christ, and holding them accountable for their actions and attitudes.

  • Home visit is my secred and strongest tools to proclaim the mission of the church.
    Director of Ministries, MELC Headquarters, Churachandpur (2015 – 2017)

  • Coordinate and moderate planning meetings, workshops, conferences with Bishop, Ministry Leaders, Church Elders, Lay leaders, Women and Youth leaders.

  • Coordinate and plan the formation of VONDEI SAULIIM (Orphanage Home run and maintained by Evangelical Lutheran Women Association (ELWA), the Women Department of MELC.

  • Manage volunteer workers and assist in assigning duties to paid workers.

  • Assist in the coordination of intake ministry and orientation/support program for new leaders/members.

  • Oversee the success of Church involvement with various Local and national organizations such as the United Evangelical Lutheran Church in India (UELCI), Evangelical Lutheran Churches in the Himalayan States (ELCITHS), and many others.

  • Ordained Pastor, MELC Lamka Division, Churachandpur (2013 – 2015)

  • Serve in the area of Pastoral Care. Facilitate successful planning and execution of all events at 16+ churches/congregations within the Lamka Division.

  • Assist Youth & Young Adult Pastors in the success of various youth and young adult initiatives. 
    Teach God’s principles in faithfulness and sound doctrine.

  • Instruct in methods of implementation and practical application of the teachings of scripture.

  • Probationary Pastor, MELC Bethel Chapel, Hiangzou (2012-2013)

  • Teaching, overseeing, and planning a comprehensive Adult Sunday School curriculum for the whole church.

  • Coordinate and plan church-related events, and lead Bible Studies.

  • Coordinate and plan events, tutor students, lead Bible Studies, assist in worship services, build and maintain relationships with students, create PowerPoint presentations, establish relationships with local Christian Leaders for future reference, plan and coordinate camps, seminars, conferences, and discussions with the church members within MELC.

Secular Employment

  • Project Officer, Manipur Evangelical Lutheran Church (2003-2005)

  • Serve as the team lead for the project, supervise and mentor MELC Project team members in the implementation of different programs.

  • Provide project management support—including administrative and financial management support, and development of strategic planning documents and reports partner organizations like Seva Bharat/Mission India, National Missionary Society of India (NMSI).

  • Lead and support potential new proposal development for additional activities related to livelihood, adult education, HIV and AIDS and other development-related efforts of the Church.

Development Secretary, MELC (2005 – 2007; 2009 – 2012)

  • Provide overall strategic and technical leadership to MELC Projects and analytical work, providing advice and guidance to Church representatives, as well as help ensure the coherence and cogency of MELC’s overall program of work.

  • Trained and managed project staff to perform day-to-day contact on project status and changes. 

  • Contributed to the structure and layout of VONDEI SAULIIM (Orphanage Home).
